Dodgers over the weekend so
they needed wins against Oakland
to get back into the race.
The fortunate thing the Rangers and
Astros are struggling on their own too.
Tuesday the Mariners beat Oakland
in game two 7-2. They have final
game of season Wednesday afternoon
then head to Arlington to play three
against the Rangers. They will finish
the season next week at home
for three against Astros and four against
the Rangers. How they do in these
remaining games decides playoffs
or not. How hungry are they or will
they let their weaknesses get the best
of them.
Tuesday night they got off to a slow
start. Jarred Kelenic drove in the first two runs one in the second and other in the
fourth inning. The Mariners scored four
runs in the seventh inning before the
A's scored twice.
JP Crawford continues having a great
season. He had a double in the seventh
to drive in Dylan Moore. Julio was walked
then Cal Raleigh single to drive in Crawford.
Teoscar Hernandez hit a double to drive
in Julio. Raleigh scored on a wild pitch.
In the ninth inning JP Crawford hit a solo
home run to make it 7-2 after A's scored
twice in the bottom of the seventh. Though
Julio has had a great second half Crawford
hss to be the MVP for the season. He
continues making key hits.
Luis Castillo went seven innings giving
up the two runs in the bottom of 7th.
He gave up five hits, walked three and
struck out eight. The Mariners were
able to rest the majority of their bullpen.
George Kirby starts Wednesday. We
hope he can bounce back after having
some rough outings in recent starts.
We need to see the all-star pitcher going.
He likely have two starts remaing one
against the Astros and one against Rangers both at home. Go M's.
