to play to end the losing streak
after being swept by the Dodgers
at home. They beat the A's on the
road at Oakland 5-0.
Bryan Woo who grew up nearby
went five innings scattering only
three hits. He got off to a rough
start figuring pitching in front of
family and friends.
The Mariners had the opportunity to
get off well loading the bases off
of A's starter JP Sears. Dylan Moore
struck out to end the first inning with
no runs scored by the Mariners. This
is getting very tiresome in my book.
The Mariners did score a run in the
second inning when JP Crawford
singled Sam Haggerty. In the fourth
inning Jose Caballero hit a two-run
homer making it 3-2. Luis Torrens
drove in Caballero in the sixth inning on a double. Torrens was catching to give Cal Raleigh the day off. Eugenio Suarez
drove in the final run in the 8th inning
bringing in Crawford.
Besides winning both the Rangers and Astros both lost. The Rangers against the Red Sox and the Astros against the Orioles.
The Mariners and Rangers are tied at 82-68
with 12 games remaining. The Astros are
a game and a half ahead of both teams at
84-67 with 11 games remaining. Be an interesting finish. Go M's.
