Washington Huskies At Home Against California Golden Bears This Saturday

Washington Huskies have had a long
history playing the California Golden Bears.
This Saturday will be their last playing in
the Pac-12. This will be the 103 meeting
between the two schools. The Huskies
lead the series 57-41 with four ties.

The Huskies beat California on their
field last year 28-21. They have had some
very close games in recent times. In the most recent home game on September 25 2021 at Husky  won 31-24. They didn't play in 2020 because of covid19. September 7 2019 at Husky Stadium California won 20-19.  The year before that at Berkeley the
Golden Bears won 12-10.

The Huskies should be favored once again.
In fact they are favored by 21.5 points. Last game California beat 31-17.  The Golden Bears gave up 279 yards passing however we know the Huskies throw more than the
opponents do or who they play. Expect
the Huskies to pass for many more yards
than 279.

The Washington Huskies are now ranked # 5 going ahead of Ohio State and USC who still both undefeated. Having a 35-0 lead
at half time against Michigan State was
the main reason.

The Golden Bears are led by Sam Jackdon
a sophomore quarterback who transferred from TCU. The most familiar receiver we
know is former Huskies receiver in Taj Davis. Last game  he caught only one ball for nine yards. Junior receiver Jeremiah
Hunter had the most catches with five for 48 yards and a touchdown.

In the running game Isaiah Ifanse had
137 yards on 22 carries and a touchdown.
As we saw against Michigan State the
Huskies were able to stop their running
game. Would not surprise me the Huskies
will do the same thing here as well since
Golden Bears don't have a serious passing
game.

The Huskies beating Michigan State last Saturday 41-6 I wouldn't see much difference in this score either. Let's see
what happens.  Go Dawgs!
