quite the football games on Saturday.
The first game was between Oregon
Ducks and Colorado.
Both teams were undefeated however
the Ducks showed Deion Sanders
and the Buffaloes they still have work
todo. The Ducks won 42-6. The Ducks
game was so lopsided they didn't even
score a point in the 4th quarter and the
Buffaloes didn't score until the 4th
quarter. In fact tge Ducks scored 35
points in the first half. Either they took
easy in the second half or the Buffaloes
played much better. Likely a combination
of both.
Deion still doesn't lack the confidence
saying after the game they will beat
one of the top programs. He might be
right however he might have to wait
until he is in the Big 12 next year.
The Washington State Cougars out
played the number 14 ranked Oregon
State Beavers in Pullman most of the
game. The final was WSU 38-35. The
score didn't show how much the Cougars
out played the Beavers leading 28-14
at halftime.
The Cougars had only a touchdown in the
3rd quarter and a field goal in the 4th to make
the difference while the Beavers scored 21
points in the 4th quarter. Had the Beavers
won it would have been said WSU couged
it which they have done on many occasions
before.
The Beavers have had the best defense in
the Pac-12 the last year and a half. The
Cougars obviously didn't care. The Cougars
had a total offense yardage of 528 yards
with 422 yards in the passing game. The
Beavers had a total of 440 yards. They rushed
for 242 yards while passing for 198 yards.
Cougars quarterback Cameron Ward threw
for 404 yards and four touchdowns. Josh
Kelly had quite the game with three touchdowns.
Kyler Williams had seven catches and a touchdown.
Combined they had over 300 yards receiving.
The Washington Huskies beat the California
Golden Bears 59-32. The game wasn't even that
close. The Huskies started out scoring a touchdown
on a 45 yard interception run followed by a
Rome Odunze 83 yard punt return. Even before
Michael Penix Jr came on the field they led
14-0. He still had a good day throwing for 304
yards and four touchdowns though did throw
an interception.
The Golden Bears have one of the best rushing
teams in the country. They ran for 139 yards
but much of it was in the second half against
the Huskies backups. The Huskies are wanting
to run more actually had 140 yards on the ground.
The Huskies were led by Dillon Johnson with 66
yards on ten carries and a touchdown. The Huskies
play Arizona on the road next week. The Huskies
have had trouble playing well at Arizona. They plan
to change that next week. They beat Stanford on
the road 21-20 Saturday. Be interesting to say
the least. Go Dawgs!
