Crawford Does It With Two Outs

The Seattle  Mariners  really  needed Thursday's
nights game as a win. The best chance to make
the playoffs  is to sweep  the Rangers. If they do
so the two teams would be tied as far as records
go. The Rangers would have  the series record
between  them. The best would  be  the two teams
tie for the division  title.  Though the Rangers
would win the division  the Mariners would be in
as a wild card. On the other hand if there is a
three way tie for first place with Houston as well
and the Mariners  have series there. A playoff would
happen.

The Mariners  were going into the bottom of the 9th
trailing 2-1. Logan Gilbert  who started and went six
innings  gave up two home runs. Julio had hit a solo
home run to right field in the 4th inning. The Mariners
were able to load the bases with no outs so the chances
looked good they would at least tie the game. The M's
often have trouble when the bases are loaded and this
game wasn't  any different.  The Rangers reliever Hernandez
who came in with no outs and bases loaded was able to
get two outs. JP Crawford the teams most consistent
player was able to hit a ball over the Rangers  left fielders
head to have the walk off win.

Bryan Woo will start Friday night for the Mariners. He
has pitched well  at times so the Mariners need his best
outing of the season  up to now. I am  sure  he will have
a short  leash. Hopefully  the Mariners  can score early.
Like this whole four game series it is a sellout so the
crowd will be rocking. Stay tuned.
