Friday's Look At Huskies and Cougars

Washington Huskies and WSU Cougars are both favored on
Saturday. Huskies play at home against Boise State. They are
favored by two touchdowns however
this will be difficult of the two games.

Michael Penix Jr is the starter however Dylan Morris will be
his backup once again. Hopefully Morris will see action in
the second half.

Wide receiver starters are still the same guys. Denzel Boston,
Germie Bernard and freshmen Taeshaun will be their backups.
Hope to see them in the fourth quarter.

Cameron Davis out for the season so transfer Dillon Johnson
is the starter with Will Nixon at number two. Sure to
see a few other running backs as well.

Redshirt freshman Parker Brailsford is the surprise being the
starter at right guard. The Huskies are known for rotation on
both offensive and defensive lines so the backups will get plenty
opportunities. Matteo Mele will get most of the reps st center
especially when Penix is in at qb.

The tight end was a competition as well. Devin Culp won the
job as starter and  Jack Westover will see plenty of action.
He is more the blocker of the two. May see him in at fullback
in short yardage cases. We will have to see who ends up being
number three.

On defense is as anticipated for the starters however the
backups are experiences and see plenty of action. Who is
in.will primarily be players best against the run or passing game.
Boise State is a running team and starting  out going that
direction. However they fall behind early we should see
their passing game in action.

The Cougars are a 10.5 favorite while being
on.the road. Cameron Ward returns as qb for the second
season. They hope backup redshirt freshman John Mateer
will see some action too.

At wide receiver they have two transfers  in Josh Kelly and
Kyle Williams. Lincoln Victor is the third receiver.

For the first time in a long time the Cougars have a tight end.
Cooper Mathers won the starting spot.

The two primary running backs will be starter Nakia Watson
and Jaylen Jenkins.

Offensive line brings experience along with young guys
as backups.

On defense the Cougars bring back experience however
have a couple  transfers. At middle linebacker will be
Devin Richardson a senior transfer from the Texas
Longhorns. The other is junior Kapena Gushiken who played
two years of junior college ball.

Now we will see on Saturday as the two games as
expected. Go Dawgs and Cougs.
