The most runs by the Mariners in a
couple weeks.
The Mariners decided to move George
Kirby ahead to pitch against the Angels
since he has dominated them. Sunday's
game might have given Mariners fans
other ideas. Originally the Mariners were
going to piggyback on Saturday with
Logan Gilbert and Hancock then decided
moving Kirby. The move cost the Mariners
both games but might have happened
anyways we dont know. Leaving the
piggyback intacked probably would have
given the bullpen rest.
The Angels scored a run in the first
and third inning but that was it. Cole
Young continues to surprise us hitting
a solo home run in the bottom of the
3rd. In the 4th Cal Raleigh hit a single
driving in two runs. In the 6th Dominic Canzone who has been the best hitter
recently hit a home run. Cole Young
hit a two run home run with Josh Naylor
on base. That was the end of scoring.
George Kirby who gave up the runs
in the first and 3rd ended up going
eight innings. Gave up seven hits,
one walk and had seven strike outs
Jose Ferrer pitched the 9th.
Tuesday Bryan Woo will start for
the Mariners. I thiught this would
be s four game series however I
was wrong. Wednesday is an off
day league wide for the World Cup.
The Mariners and Angels play Thursday
in the final game of the series. Bryce
Miller will start for the Mariners.
Go M's.
