Mariners Blown Out In Pittsburgh

The Mariners won Tuesday night in
Pittsburgh 3-2.     Cal Raleigh hit
a solo home run and later Cole
Young with a two run home run
in his hometown. George Kirby
went six innings ging up eight
hits and the two runs. Andre Munoz
finished off with his best relief in
a few years. He threw over 100
mph and struck out all three batters.

Wednesday night wasnt the same.
The Pirates won 11-1 over Mariners.
Bryan Woo has had a tough month
pitching on the road. Like most of
the Mariners starters he is fine at
home. His era in the four games he
has pitched this month is over nine.

Woo's worst inning was his last one
in the fourth whe he gave five runs.
The Pirates record is little below the
Mariners but if you look at their lineup
they have better batting averages
throughout.

Michael Rucker who was called up
during the last road trip came in
the fifth and he went two innings
giving up two hits, no runs or balls
and struck out three.

Davila came in for an inning however
gave up four hits and four runs.
Hoppe game in the 8th giving up
three bits and two runs. Davila and Hoppe
started the season in triple A Tacoma.
They have both looked good at times
but others not so good like tonight.

Bryce Miller starts Thursday after in
tbe final of this three game series.
He has pitched well so far after starting
the season on the injured. We hope for
another good one to win the series.

The Mariners one run came in the
first inning when Julio Rodriguez
drove in JP Crawford.

The A'S, Astros and Rangers are all
two  and a half games behind the
Mariners. They need to go on a good
streak to get more distance. Go M's.
