Mariners Third Loss To Yankees

Yankees 5 Mariners 4

Mariners got off to a good start scoring
two runs in both the first and second
inning. Things look good going into the
bottom of the sixth inning. Chris Flexen
started the sixth inning giving up two
runs then Anthony Misiewicz comes in
with no outs gives up two more with an
error by Mitch Haniger so both runs
unearned. Anthony a lot like Montero
was a lot of bad luck. I wish he never
is put in a game with no outs only when
there is two outs. Relievers are requiredD
to face three batters unless it is at the
end of an inning. No reliever has to
start the next inning unless the manager
decides to.

Depending on your opinion the fault can
be on the pitching or the offense but it
really comes down to the manager and
what decisions he makes. It always seems
in August the Mariners start losing games
they could win. It is right around the time
the Seahawks are in practice and ready
to play their first pre-season game. I can
say I am sick and tired of it. You have put
the problem on all involved or at the
feet of the manager who makes the
decisions.

Looking at this game Abraham Toro
was in the leadoff spot because JP
Crawford wasn't feeling well. Dylan
Moore was inserted at shortstop so
someone had to leadoff and why
not one of the hottest players on
the team. Toro did a fine job getting
one of the Mariners five hits on the
day. He also scored a run as well
as driving one in. His one hit was
a double. Kyle Seager hit a home
run with Toro on base. Later Toro
drove in Kelenic who had two hits
on  the day. The fifth hit was by
catcher Tom Murphy. The Mariners
made the best of the hits on the
day.

One thing we know right now Toro
is going to be a regular next season
for the Mariners whether at second
or third. Reliever Joe Smith a
veteran for several years and came
over in the trade with Toro says
he is a good one.  He can hit with
power along with speed on the
bases. Look forward to him next
year to. What a good fine by Dipoto.
Isn't it nice to add another piece to the
rebuilding from another organization.

Yusei Kikuchi goes for the Mariners
Sunday. We hope he can recharge
the pitching. Diego Castillo was the
only back end of the bullpen to pitch
Saturday. Paul Sewald didn't pitch
either Friday or Saturday so should
be available Sunday. Drew Steckenrider
who pitched Friday should be available
to. Let's stop these poor pitching decisions
and win this game. Doesn't matter what
has happened these last three games.
Let's come home on a positive note.
