A Mariners Moment

Scott Servais  was third in the voting
for manager of the year which went
to Cleveland's manager. You think
making the playoffs  for the first
time in 20 years and almost making
it to the World Series would have
made Servais  the logical choice.

I guess since they were in a weak division
outside the World champions might  make
sense.

I  guess we won’t  hear about anymore
rookie of the year awards since Julio
got them all. Congratulations Julio!

There are rumors  of trading Chris Flexen
and I  am  sure could be the first one to
come down. Jerry Dipoto  always finds
a way to surprise us though technically
he isn't  general manager anymore though
I  am  sure has to ok the trade.

The latest rumor is Flexen  going to Toronto
for outfielder  Teoscar Hernandez outfielder.
He primarily  would play  in  left field  but
can play center if Julio  needs a day off.
He batted .267 with 25 home runs and 77
runs batted in. He bats right handed and just
turned 30. Has been with Toronto for five
full seasons. The Mariners would have to
add another player  to  get Hernandez. Most
likely  a prospect.

Speaking  of  prospects  the Mariners added
four minor leaguers  to  the  40-man roster.
This keeps  the  four from being eligible for
the rule five draft which comes up soon.

Anyway that is it for right now on the Mariners.
I will give top prospects nine and ten soon.
