opened up about how the Pac12
looks right now with returning players.
Of course we know they will lose USC
and UCLA.. They plan not to lose
any of the other PAC 12 schools which
would be led by Washington and Oregon.
Utah could be in their class as well.
The PAC 12 or ten after this coming season
unless they add a couple more teams
would be dead in the water if they lose
any teams to Big Ten or Big 12 or whoever.
The commissioner spoke about the
National championship going to 12 teams will help the Pac12. Also he was asked
about the media deal. He feels in the
long run not having a media deal setup
will help the conference in the long
run though could be a hiccup right now
for the short time. The media deal will
happen before expansion. Also sounds like
the deal soon since he said today is about
football. Again being asked it doesn't
say the deal will be soon either.
They had answers about questions concerning officiating and NIL.
Concerning the poll for preseason USC
favored withe Huskies number two
and Utah three. The Cougars were number
seven.
Speaking to all the coaches they each
spoke about their programs along with
two selected players with one on offense
and other defense. Each school had
30 minutes with coaches going 15 minutes
and the players the remaing 15.
Kalen DeBoer spoke about how his
staff all returned along with most
of the players. Though last year
was great with eleven years there
still unfinished business. In their
minds it going to the national.
championship series their goal.
Washington State head coach
Jake Dickert talked about what
Cougar football is about. He
feels the new offensive and defensive
coordinators will fit in with their
philosophy.
So now will be start of trading camp
and see where the teams will be.
