and upset them 89-85. Gonzaga dominated Kentucky somewhat by leading by ten
points. The Zags played pretty good defense in the first half. Kentucky made it close by playing good defense in the second half. The game was close coming down to the end. The Zags made a way to win.
For the Zags to make March Madness Tournament this game was a good victory to hope in making it. Graham Ike led the Zags with 23 points. The Zags had five players in double figures. Zags will play at Loyola Marymount next Thursday.
The Cougars beat the Oregon Ducks 62-56. The Cougars led much of the way though the Ducks made it hard at the end though still lost. The Cougars his four players in double figures who scored all but three points. Myles Rice led the Cougars with 21
points. The Cougars made more free throws than the Ducks however missed
some crucial ones that could have cost
them the game. The shot better from
the floor as sell which was good as the Ducks took more shots.
The Cougars are now in second place after
Arizona beat Colorado otherwise would
have been tied for first place. They have a good shot making the NCAA tournament
if they continue winning.
The Huskies beat Oregon State Beavers
67-55. They led all the way including being
up by 20 points at half time. Though the
game was in Corvallis the Beavers didn't
seem well at all. The Huskies beat them
at every fase of the game.
Keion Brooks Jr. led the Huskies with.23 points and 9 rebounds. Neither team
shot well beyond the 3 point line. The Beavers allowed the Huskies a lot of
open shots. Had the Huskies knocked
more done it would have been larger
margin on victory.
The Huskies and Cougars play Stanford
and California at home this Thursday
and Saturday. The Cougars play five
of their last seven games at home while
Huskies four of seven. The Cougars
have a good shot making March
Madness.
The Huskies on the other hand 4-8
in Pac-12 and 12-11 overall for 10
place. The Huskies basically have
to win all seven remaining games
to have a shot unless they win the
Conference tournament. Go Dawgs!
