starting game three when the season
begins for the Seattle Mariners.
Not bad for a guy who could be number
one or two on some teams. Logan
could end up winning the Cy Young
Award this coming season as much
as Luis Castillo and George Kirby could
as well. How many teams have a starting
rotation like the Mariners.
In his opening spring outing he went two
innings with three strike outs. It would
be interesting if these three starters hsd
their best seasons so far. You add on
Bryce Miller and Bryan Woo on top of
that. Could you imagine if these two
won at least ten games each.
The Mariners lost Wednesdays game
to the Kansas City Royals 9-7. The
Mariners did have a good lead however
the nine runs were against three pitchers
who won't start the season in Seattle
if ever.
Crawford and Polanco played again
together. Important as double play
partners. Not surprised when not
playing they are still working on
double plays.
The Mariners played minor leaguers
after those who started left the game
after two at bats. Wouldn't be surprised
if the starters get in three at bats beginning
next week. They will probably start
every two or three games. They will be
ready before the pitchers.
Cal Raleigh had the big blow hitting
his first homer of the spring with
two runners on base. Mitch Haniger
made his first start in right field after
dh his last time out. He had a hit
and drove in a run. Josh Rojas had
a hit and a walk as well as playing
third base. Taylor Trammell had
his first two hits of the spring while
scoring and driving in a run.
The Mariners are in Peoria taking on
the White Sox with Bryce Miller. See
what success he will have. Woo will
make his first start of the spring to
on Friday on the road against the
Rockies. That game will be on TV.
Go M's.
