Preview Toledo at Washington State

This will be the first time the Cougars
will take on Toledo who plays in the Mid-American Conference. The Cougars
are a slight favored at home by 1.5
points.

Toledo has a 4-3 record overall however
hasn't won a game on the road yet this
season. A reason the Cougars are favored.
Toledo Rockets average 35 points a game
while their defense gives up just over 14
points.  This could be an interesting game.

The Rockets are led by quarterback Tucker
Gleason a senior. His passing rate is 64.7
percent. He has thrown 12 touchdowns and has four interceptions on the season. The
Cougars could benefit by having an interception.

The Rockets do average 200 yards on the
ground so could be a benefit for them. It is important the Cougars stop them on the ground as well in the air. Their running
defense is good though the Cougars don't
run a lot anyway. If the Cougars can play
like the previous two games they should
win handly. It comes down whether playing
to the competition or not.

Chip Trayanum is the Rockets leading
rusher with 100 yards a game. Kenji
Christian is his backup at just over 48
yards a game.

The leading receiver is Junior Vandeross III
who plays at slot receiver, at least listed anyway. Unusual for the most catches and touchdowns for a team. Junior has 45 catches on the season with seven touchdowns.  No one else on the team has
more than one touchdown.  He averages
79.43 yards a game. Number two is slot
receiver Trayvon Rudolph has 22 catches
averaging 41.14 yards per game and has
one touchdown. Tight end Jacob Peterson
has 11 catches averaging 25 yards a game.
He has one touchdown and 5th in receptions.

On defense the Rockets have 13 sacks.
They are led by left defensive end Malachi
Davis with 3.5. They have five interceptions
on the season. Weak linebacker K'Von
Sherman leads in tackles with 51 tackles.

Though the Cougars are favored by 1.5
points having to near misses with wins
two top teams I see the Cougars winning
at a higher margin though. Only mistakes
would make it close or lose. Go Cougs!
