The Seattle Seahawks Thursday night had their first
pre-season game at home against the Denver Broncos. The first half wasn’t too
exciting with the Broncos leading 6-3 at the end. Russell Wilson and most of
the starting lineup didn’t play in the game. It was actually the first time he
hadn’t played in a pre-season game while with the Seahawks.
The Seahawks went with the two quarterbacks competing for the
backup role. Geno Smith played the first half while Paxton Lynch in the second
half.
As you may be able to tell Lynch was more impressive by the
scoring. The Seahawks scored 19 points in the second to win 22-14. The Broncos
had a touchdown in the fourth quarter with a two-point conversion.
I am sure Lynch wanted to impress the Broncos who released
him last year well as the Seahawks. He passed for a touchdown well as running
for a touchdown too. The game was more exciting in the second half. The play of
the offensive brought the defense more alive as well.
Next game will be on Sunday night August 18 against the
Vikings in Minnesota. We should be seeing Russell Wilson and the regulars in
this one. We will see how they respond
getting ready for the regular season. Go
Hawks!
