Seahawks Win Easily Sunday

It is hard to know whether the Seattle Seahawks
played a really good game or the New York Jets
are that bad. I would take the Jets being that bad.
The Seahawks rolled over the Jets 40-3.

One thing I am really glad is the Seahawks led
at half-time 23-3. The Jets scored first with a
field goal then shut out the rest of the way. You
wonder what was in the Seahawk fans minds
being down 3-0.

We should be thankful the Seahawks made the
game pretty easy to win. Often they allow the
opposing team to get back into the game in the
second half then having to make Russell Wilson
do some magic to win. In this game Wilson was
able to leave before the 4th quarter started. Yes
he was able to take the fourth quarter off for the
first time since 2016.

Russell Wilson completed 21 of 27 passes for 206
yards, four touchdowns and one interception. Geno
Smith completed four of his 5 passes thrown for
33 yards. There really wasn't much reason for Smith
to pass the ball just get the 4th quarter as quickly as
they can which is what they did.

The Seahawks had 36 rushing attempts in the game
for 174 yards. A good ratio between running and
passing something the Seahawks have had success
over the years. Really nice Wilson only ran the ball
once. We can hope the Seahawks can do the same
in the remaining games of the season and the playoffs.
They do so means a Super Bowl victory very likely.

DK Metcalf led the Seahawks with six catches and
a touchdown. Tyler Lockett who had trouble last week
had five catches himself. Rookie tight end Colby Parkinson
finally got into action late in the game have two catches.
We hope to see a lot more of him.

Next Sunday the Seahawks have an early game against
Washington. The team formerly known as the Redskins
have won for straight games beating San Francisco 49ers
Sunday 23-15. Washington is on top of the NFC East
with a record of 6-7. It will be important the Seahawks
play well against them to win.

After Washington the Seahawks will come home to take
on the LA Rams then  finish the regular season on the
road against the 49ers.  Currently the Seahawks and Rams
are tied for the lead in the NFC west with a record of 9-4.
It will be important for the Seahawks to win all those games
if expected to have a good run in the playoffs. Go Hawks!
