Washington Men's Win First Game

Washington Huskies won their first
basketball game Wednesday of the
season against city rival Seattle U.
73-41.

The scores were almost identical in
each half. Huskies scored 37 points
in the first half while Seattle had 22
points. In the second half the Huskies
had 36 while Seattle 19.

Quade Green once again led the Huskies
in scoring for the third time in a row with
18 points. This game though he didn't start
and came off the bench. He played only 18
minutes likely because the Huskies won
easily. Green shot well going 4-4 behind
the  3 point line.

Junior transfer Nate Pryor started in Green's
place. Pryor was second in scoring with 13
points. He shot 4 for 10 from the field however
went perfect at the foul line make four shots.
Pryor led the team with four assists.

Nate Roberts the primary inside player for the
Huskies had ten points. He led in rebounds with
8. This year being his first season to start as a
redshirt sophomore he is doing good. Expect
him to get better as the season goes on.

The Washington Huskies are expected to play
the Oregon Ducks in basketball late afternoon.
It was announced and confirmed the football
teams won't play each other on Saturday.

The football game was expected to be the last
regular season game for both teams. At this
point it is hard to know whether either team
will play another game or not. The Huskies
didn't have the mandatory of 53 players to
field a team because of covid-19. We will
let you know if another game will be
scheduled coming up.  If not this could
end the season for both teams.
