Mariners End Winning Streak

The Mariners  streak came  to  an
end on Labor Day afternoon  after
a long day Sunday.  Not a big surprise.
You have to figure  the Chicago White
Sox are going to do their best since
they are fighting  to get into  the wild
card as well.

I  am  not  sure  I  would have started
Marco Gonzales  since it was the first
game of the series but I am  not  the
boss. Marco gave up three runs  early
including two  home runs. Marco went
seven innings.

Chicago 3 Seattle 2

The White Sox and Mariners  each
had a run in the second.  The White
Sox got the other two on a home run
in the third. The Mariners didn’t get
a hit for 19 straight  batters until
Julio had a hit but was left stranded.

The Mariners  got a run in the 9th
where Cal Raleigh got a double.
Eugenio Suarez  was walked. He
pinch hit for Trammell. Sam Haggerty
pinch run for Suarez.  JP Crawford
got a loop single  scoring Raleigh
but Haggerty  was given the stop
sign. Adam Frazier  pinch hit for
Toro and struck out to end the game.

If it were me I  would  have  sent Haggerty
home though he could have been  out.
Another thing is I am  not  a big fan  of
using two pinch hitters in an inning. How
many times have the Mariners been
successful  in  that manner  not many.
Though he hasn't  hit well and was sent
down Toro  has done good late in games.
Along with being  up at the plate already.
