Not Good Start To Homestand

The Seattle Mariners are not
making it easy for themselves
or fans as they are crawling
to the finish line.

The Mariners now have Suarez
back in the lineup Tuesday but
struck out three times. It would
be nice to have Julio in the
lineup since they function
better with him in it. They say
he will be ready to go when
he is eligible to come off the
injured list. The question though will his back happen
again. I guess we won't know
until he starts playing again.

The Mariners were shutout
by the Texas Rangers 5-0.
Robbie Ray pitched well
giving up only two runs in
five and two-thirds innings.
Doesn't help if the offense
can't score runs. Jerry Dipoto
will have to get more punch
in the lineup next season.
With the shift going away
except still able to use
against pull hitters the Mariners players may function better.
Offense should go up some.
The top pitchers will still be able to do what they have done.

The good news the Baltimore
Orioles lost to the Red Sox
13-9. The magic number is
now five for the Mariners to
get in the playoffs.

George Kirby who had his
worst outing in his last time
pitching goes on the mound
Wednesday night. Hope to
see him back to his old
self. The Mariners offense
needs to score runs though.
Thursday Marco Gonzales
will start. I hope to see his
old self instead of what we
have seen.

Since the Mariners haven't
been in the playoffs for so
long we have no idea even
though not playing good
teams to end the season.
Right now they are playing
down to their competition.
Go.M's.
