Mariners Sweep Tigers

The Mariners did what they hope
for by sweeping Detroit. Another
easy game winning 7-0 behind Logan
Gilbert six innings and two hits.
I am sure they could have left him
in but want to keep his innings down.

The Mariners had Matt Boyd pitch
the eighth inning after being activated
when rosters expanded Thursday.
Taylor Trammel started in right field
after being activated to. We will see
some of him through September either
starting or coming late in games.

Boyd is used to being a starter but
will be coming out of the bullpen.
He is the only lefty in relief. May go
a couple innings if necessary.  Trammel likely start against righties
like he was when he was up earlier.
This will allow Haniger rest on.occasion though will dh when
not in right field. Now the question
what does Jarred Kelenic future as
a Mariner look like.

Speaking of future Jesse Winker has
contract through 2023. Will he stick
around or not. Are the Mariners going to extend him or not. The only thing
we know Julio Rodriguez will be
around in the outfield. Right and left
is questioned. You have to figure Trammel or Kelenic will be the fourth
outfielder in 2023. If Winker or Haniger
are gone one will start though the
Mariners could bring someone else.
Though the season is five weeks before playoffs which Mariners should
make we can do some speculation
on next season. Stay tuned!

If you haven't heard Russell Wilson
signed an extension with Denver.
A five year deal for $245 million
with $165 guaranteed. If you haven't
figured the guarantee is $33 million.
A good reason the Seahawks traded
him.

Seahawks added Justin Coleman
back to the roster. LJ Collier added
to injured list. Be out for at least four
games. Other players added to.practice squad. We will see if any of them will
play this season.

Seven Seahawks draft players made
the roster plus two undrafted rookies
made it to. Let you know who.they
are at the right time.

Nice college football starts this weekend for the Huskies and Cougars.
Let you know those games go. Look
forward to victories for both teams.
