Down to Three

The Seattle Mariners evened
the series against the Texas
Rangers 3-1. The Orioles lost
so the magic number is now
three.

The combination of Mariners
wins and Orioles losses puts
Seattle in the playoffs for
the first time in a long time.
We hope a position they will
be in for a while.

The Mariners had timely hitting
especially from Eugenio Suarez
in his second game back from
injured list. George Kirby was
back to his pitching giving up
a run in six innings. The one run
happened in the first inning.
The Mariners rebound by scoring two runs in the bottom
of the first.

The Mariners scored their third
and final run in the third inning.
With the bases loaded and no
outs Carlos Santana hit a chopper just passed Perez the
Rangers pitcher and they had
to settled for getting Santana
at first. Of course the Mariners
couldn't find a way to get one
or two runs by a sacrifice fly
or a timely hit. Something they
need to work on in spring
training coming up.

After that Kirby was able to get
the Rangers with no help from
the home umpire calling balls
on obvious strikes.  Erik Swanson, Andre Munoz and
Paul Sewald each pitched an
inning without giving up a
hit. Been a formula that has
been working most of the
season. Love to see it in the
playoffs to.

Seahawks news it looks like
running back Travis Homer will
be out for a little while going
on the injured list. Primarily
a special teams specialist
Homer was hurt in the loss
to the Falcons.

How are the Seahawks fair
against the Lions Sunday in
Detroit. Will the win and even
their record 2-2 or lose making
it 1-3. The Seahawks should
have beaten the Falcons who
are rebuilding. Oh yes the
Seahawks doing the same
though Pete Carroll denies
it. Maybe next year. Lol

I know the 12th man is loyal
to the Seahawks but some
if not all should see what is
happening with Mariners.

The Seattle Kraken season
begins soon. To be honest
I haven't seen preseason yet.
