meeting that we know of. Is no news is good
news we will find out I guess.
Coming up next will be the owner's meeting .
Whether the Mariners or other teams makes
moves beforehand we will see.
The Mariners have made moves in November
before so we hope so it will happen. Personally
I don't like this dead time. You will find sites
for team's fans that bring speculation instead
of news. I would prefer telling you something
will happen.
Obviously the Mariners will need to get another
outfielder who might bat right-handed. Right
now they have Jarred Kelenic and Dominic
for the corner outfield spots and they both hit
left handed.
They have Dylan Moore who is right handed hitter
but I am not thrilled there. He might be a good
defensive player in the outfield and infield but
hasn't hit very well for the Mariners. He did have
a season back I think in 2019 where he hit in the
clutch though his average wasn't high though
better than since 2019. He is hooked to a three
year contract with two years now remaining. I
don't mind him on the team as long as the Mariners
pick up another bench player who can hit.
Jose Caballero as a rookie last year did a good
job last season until the second half when his
hitting declined. I would platoon him at second
base if the Mariners don't pick up another player
to play full-time. They have Josh Rojas who is
lefthanded hitter who did fine when he came over
in the Paul Sewald trade. In fact better than expected.
They have Ryan Bliss who they picked up in the
Sewald trade as well. He was named defensive
player in the Arizona Fall League. When he is ready
we will find out. He can play shortstop as well.
Hopefully some trade or free agent signing comes
soon. Go M's.
