are thinking and waiting for the Pac12 Championship
game on Friday.
The men's basketball team beat University California
of San Diego Tuesday night. The score was 83-56.
The starters for the most part except the center played
thirty minutes or more. Want to get to know each other
better during games. Three of the starters were in double
figures only Moses Wood who played a lot had only
8 points. Hopefully he will get hot soon.
Keion Brooks Jr who is expected to be the Huskies
scoring leader on the season led with 18 points along
with 12 rebounds. His former teammate at Kentucky
Sahvir Wheeler had 17. Wheeler is scoring better
then expected and when the competition gets more
fierce we will see. Colorado State is next up on Saturday.
The Washington State Cougars beat Eastern Washington
Monday night 82-72 at home. They are now on a three
game winning streak. They take on Portland State Saturday
afternoon athome. They are 5-1 on the season.
The Cougars had five players in double
figures led by guard Myles Rice with 28
points. The difference in the game was
the first half where the Cougars led 40-32.
This is quite the deal for Rice since he
missed last year with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
We wish him the best and he has a healthy
career with WSU. He is currently averaging
29.2 minutes a game and 17.2 points a game.
So far so good. Go Cougs.
Gonzaga played Tuesday night as well
beating Cal State Bakersfield 81-65. The
first half the Zags led by 15 points.
The Zags had six players including all
starters score in double figures. Anton
Watson who had 11 points dominated
the boards with 13 rebounds. They take
on USC Trojans on Saturday.
