Washington Wins Cougars Don't

Washington  Huskies  prevailed  once again
beating the USC Trojans 52-42. Both teams
had to overcome penalties and turnovers.

Unlike expected  it wasn't  the Huskies
passing game that was the reason  putting
up so many points though Michael Penix Jr.
did have two touchdowns throw. It was the
running game behind Dillon Johnson who
ran for 256 yards on 26 carries and four
touchdowns.

The Huskies take on Utah next week at
home. It will be another big test as Utah
is ranked #18.

The WSU Cougars  continue to struggle
losing their fifth straight game this time
to Stanford 10-7. Not much to say beyond
the score. The Cougars had no running
game and the passing game wasn't much
either.

The Cougars who won their first four games
before going on hard times play California at
Berkeley next week before facing Colorado
then the Apple  Cup.  The Cougars need to
win two of the games to make a bowl game.
This is so hard since the future is in question.
There will be no Pac-12 Conference  and there
is a good chance they maybe independent
team along with the Oregon State Beavers.
There is a good chance many of their games
will be against  Mountain West teams and
some might merge with them in two years.
The Cougars could see an exit of players
and possibly coaches too.

Seahawks  play Baltimore  on the road.
The Ravens  are favored  however we
hope the Seahawks will  prevail and stay
in first place.
