Football Friday

The home state teams play again this
week. It will be quite for all three teams.

The Washington Huskies travel to Los
Angeles to take on the USC Trojans.
The Huskies thought they have won
struggled the last two weeks against
Arizona  State  and Stanford both teams
they may not play again in some time
except in a non-conference game.

The Huskies and Trojans are scheduled
to play next season  in the Big Ten.
This couldbe a high scoring game late
Saturday  afternoon. Both have great
offenses and defenses that have been
struggling. The  Huskies defense  has
risen to the occasion in the last three
games late to win. They may have to do
the same in this one.

Washington State Cougars have lost four
straight  games  after getting off to four
wins to begin the season.  The Cougars
play at home against the Stanford Cardinal.
The Cougars will need to find a way to play
better and hope the Cardinal don't play like
they did against  the Huskies though they
lost. The Cougars  will need to salvage a
season if they want to  play in a bowl game.

Seattle Seahawks   go to Baltimore  to take
on the Ravens on Sunday. The Seahawks go
into this game now in first place with a 5-2
record after beating  the Cleveland Browns
24-20.  It won't  be an easy task. The Ravens
a good team with a record of 6-2.

The Seahawks  defense has been good
thoughthe_ have allowed  other teams
to run against them. Top draft pick Devon
Witherspoon was named rookie defensive
player of the month for October. This week
the Seahawks  picked up defensive lineman
Leonard Williams from the New York Giants
for two draft picks. Williams should help
in trying to stop the run.

Seahawks  offense needs to improve both
in running the ball as well  as Geno Smith
not throwing interceptions  as he did last
week whether his fault or not. The Seahawks
I  feel  will go 5-5 in their final ten games
to end the season 10-7. This will be a difficult
strength especially on the road. Also includes
two against  the  49ers  who will try to get
back to their winning  ways after losing three
straight. Go Hawks!
