night at home against the Philadelphia
Eagles to keep any chance to make the
playoffs. The Seahawks were on a four
game-losing streak.
The Eagles were coming into the game
like it was a must-game as well. Though
they had three losses on the season they
were on a two-game losing streak which
now is three. The Eagles had two long
drives in the first half. The first went for
a touchdown as quarterback Jalen Hurts
went in on a run.
The Eagles second score was a field goal
in the second quarter after a bend don't
break defense. The Seahawks showed on
the night they need improvement stopping
the run. The Eagles ran for 178 yards while
Seahawks had 100.
The Seahawks scored late in the first half.
Though it would have been nice to have a
touchdown they settled for a field. Though
the Eagles had a chance with less than
two minutes remaining to score again they
couldn't.
The Seahawks had the ball to lead off the
second half. The Seahawks were able to
tie the game on the first drive ending with
a Ken Walker touchdown 10-10. The Eagles
were able to return the favor on their first
drive of the second half which turned out
to be their last score of the game.
The Seahawks kicked a field goal at the ten
minute mark to make it 17- 13. DK Metcalf
caught a pass to setup the final touchdown
of the game and the win. Metcalf had 5 catches
in the game to lead the Seahawks though no
touchdowns. Jaxon Smith-Njiba caught the
final td with 28 seconds remaining in the game.
Safety Julian Love had two interceptions in
the 4th quarter to he.lp out to nail the victory
to.
I am sure most fans believe Drew Lock should
start next Sunday against the Tennessee Titans
on the road. The Seahawks record is now 7-7.
There are several teams in the NFC with the same
record so the Seahawks need to win all three
games to make the playoffs. The remaining
three games are against teams with losing records.
See what happens. Go Hawks!
