undrafted college free agents after the
draft ended, The Seahawks had only
three draft picks so bringing in some
other college players to add depth.
The Seahawks drafted D'Wayne
Eskridge from Western Michigan
in the second draft, however decided
to sign three college receivers. They
were Florida State Tamorrion Terry,
South Dakota State Cade Johnson,
and Stanford Connor Wedington
who is a native of Sumner Washington.
As we remember Doug Baldwin signed
a free agent contract out of Stanford
himself. Wedington could make his
way onto the team as a kick returner.
Most likely two or all three of them
could end up on the practice squad.
Other players the Seahawks signed
were offensive lineman Greg Eiland
from Mississippi State. He played
both at tackle and guard in college.
He to most likely be on the practice
squad if he is able to make it.
The Seahawks signed another cornerback
this time from the college ranks in Bryan
Mills out of North Carolina Central.
The Seahawks added to the linebacker
group by signing Army Jon Rhattigan.
He will have to be approved by the
Pentagon to practice with the Seahawks.
The Seahawks having a talented group
of linebackers Rhattigan will likely be
on the practice squad when he isn't
working for the Army.
The Seahawks are bringing in two running
backs BJ Emmons formerly of Florida
Atlantic. Also, Josh Johnson from Louisiana-
Monroe. The Seahawks didn't draft a
running back so this will add depth
to the position.
The Seahawks signed Jared Hocker former
defensive lineman from Texas A&M. Also,
offensive lineman Pier-Olivier Lestage a
Canadian from University of Montreal.
Most of these ball players we have never
heard of and may never play for the
Seahawks, however, it is good to give
these guys a chance. We never know one
of these guys could end up playing a
good role in the NFL Go Hawks!
