in this years NFL draft. The had a second
rounder, 4th rounder and a sixth round pick.
Originally it was in the 2nd, 4th and 7th.
The Seahawks usually do something with
the draft which they did this year as well.
They kept the second round pick, moved
back in the 4th and then moved up to take
a pick in the 6th round.
In the second round they took wide receiver
D'Wayne Eskridge from Western Michigan.
Eskridge is not a tall receiver, however, the
Seahawks consider him tough while at the
same time explosive. The Seahawks consider
Eskridge more than just a slot receiver. We
could see him lining up on the outside as
well. Just like Tyler Lockett he could be
used doing an end around on occasion.
In the fourth round the Seahawks took
cornerback Tre Brown out of Oklahoma.
The Seahawks acquired three corners
during the off-season so how much
Brown will play we will see,
In the sixth round the Seahawks took
Stone Forsythe offensive tackle out of
Florida. At Florida he started at left
tackle. Forsythe will likely be a back
up starting his career but eventually
could turn into a starter.
Look at the Washington Huskies taken
in the draft. Joe Tryon was drafted in
the first round by Tampa Bay. His
job will be as a pass rusher primarily.
Tryon was at the Huskies spring game
on Saturday, He can't wait to get started
to know the Buccaneers play book.
Levi Onwuzurike defensive tackle was
drafted by the Detroit Lions in the second
round. Like Tryon, Levi didn't play last
season for the Huskies instead worked at
getting ready for the draft.
Elijah Molden cornerback was drafted by
the Tennessee Titans in the third round,
He was drafted right after fellow cornerback
Nahshon Wright out of Oregon State taken
by the Dallas Cowboys,
The fourth Huskies player taken was Keith
Taylor in the fifth round, Like Molden he
is a cornerback as well. He was taken by
Carolina Panthers, Those were the only
players taken from Washington in this
years draft, It was twice as many as
were taken last year.
The Washington State Cougars had
no players taken in this draft,
