It is still hard to know how the NFL season
will look like ahead. We do know they will
have two exhibition games instead of four.
It wouldn't surprise me if this is how it will
go now going forward especially if it is
successful.
Today we will begin looking at the offense
since we finished the defense last week.
We look at the most important position
on the field which is the quarterback.
The teams with success over the years
primarily has to do with the quarterback.
The top teams each year have one of the
best in the business this goes for the Seattle
Seahawk as well.
When it comes down to the success of the
Seahawks the one name is Russell Wilson.
Almost every game the Seahawk wins comes
to what Wilson has done.
If you had to give Wilson a nickname the
best would be "Comeback Kid". In many
instances the Seahawks are behind going
into the fourth quarter and he finds a way
to win the game.
Russell Wilson again this year likely play
every down for the season. The backup
quarterback will only see play if the Seahawks
have a big lead and it doesn't happen very
often.
Geno Smith the Seahawks signed again as
the backup quarterback for another season.
Last year he didn't play a single down. He
will be in his eighth season as insurance.
The Seahawks brought in another quarterback
to compete for the backup role in Anthony
Gordon from Washington State Cougars signing
as an undrafted free agent. He likely will be
on the practice squad unless the Seahawks
think he is ready to backup Wilson or another
team may snatch him up.
So there is the competition the backup quarterback.
Next Wednesday we will look at the running back.
Go Hawks!
