acquired safety Jamal Adams from the New
York Jets for two first round draft picks and
a third. The Seahawks sent safety Bradley
McDougald to the Jets. They also acquired
a fourth round pick.
Training camp began on Tuesday. The Seahawks
have signed now all their draft picks.
We now look at the wide receivers this week.
Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf are the top two
receivers and play makers. The Seahawks signed
Phillip Dorsett as a free agent during the off-season.
At this point he is the third receiver. Either he
or Lockett will be in the slot when they are
playing three receivers. Dorsett played the last
three years for the New England Patriots.
Hard to know whether the Seahawks will go with
four or five receivers. At this point it is hard to know
what the roster will look like because of Covid-19.
There is a possibility they may not have as large
a roster spots as in recent years though they will
have 16 players on the practice squad.
David Moore comes in as the fourth receiver. He
was the punt returner last season, however, the
Seahawks could put Tyler Lockett back into the
spot.
Other receivers trying to make the roster are
rookie draft picks Stephen Sullivan, and Freddie
Swain. Also, college free agent Aaron Fuller
out of University of Washington. Fuller could
see action at punt returner if he makes the roster.
John Ursua the Seahawk 7th round pick out of
Hawaii last year has a good shot at making the
team as well. The last roster spots for receiver
will be competitive for sure.
Next week we will look at tight end.
