Baltimore. It is about the Orioles by the
way.
It is hard to believe to me Wade LeBlanc
and Tommy Milone who both pitched for
the Seattle Mariners last year are going to
be in the starting rotation for the Baltimore
Orioles this season. At least starting off at
least.
LeBlanc is expected to start the third game
of the season for the Orioles. Not sure when
Milone will start but he is expected to be in
the rotation.
Last year for much of the season the Mariners
would begin the game with the opener then
bring in LeBlanc and Milone in either the
second or third inning.
Though it didn't work for the opener for the
most part it did well for LeBlanc and Milone.
With the season being 60 games the Mariners
won't likely go with an opener this year. Even
if they had started on time in March they wouldn't
have anyway.
The reason not using an opener this year the
Mariners don't have a lack of starters this season.
It will be interesting to see how many innings
the starters will go in their first start. I would
expect they would go three or four innings their
first time out.
Having a six-man rotation they will extend out
the innings faster than in most seasons.
Like me I am sure you can't wait until July 24
for the first game. Go M's.
