Marco Gonzales Goes Home Beats Rockies

 Mariners 6 Rockies 4

Marco Gonzales was born and raised in
Colorado. It has been a tough season on
Marco. His last win was April 15. He
was injured list for a while as well.
Marco has struggled especially in
June and July.

Tuesday night Marco made a couple
mistakes, however, most pitchers do.
He gave up a home run to Connor Joe,
his first career major league home run,
with a runner on base in the fifth inning.
Before that it was a pitchers duel.

Good news the Mariners responded
scoring four runs in the top of the sixth
inning. Cal Raleigh who had his first
hit in the majors earlier hit a double
driving in two runs then Dylan Moore
with Raleigh on base hit a two-run
homer to make it 4-2.

Marco Gonzales only went five and
one-third innings with the two runs
scored against him, however, the
rally by the Mariners allowed him to
gain the victory.

The Mariners scored two more runs
in the seventh inning which was a
good thing. CJ Cron who always
does well against the Mariners
especially with home runs hit another
against them for the other two runs.

Kendall Graveman came into the
9th inning to record his ninth save.
He walked one batter but struck out
two as well.

Wednesday night's game will be
the last one in the series against
the Rockies. The Mariners haven't
yet indicated who will start on
Wednesday night. It looks like
Chris Flexen is scheduled to start
on Thursday against the Oakland
A's so this means the Mariners
once again goes with an opener.

Thursday the Mariners return home
to play the Oakland A's in a four-game
series. Later today we will know who
the Seattle Kraken will have selected
in the expansion draft. Many of those
players will be in attendance at the
Mariners game on Thursday. My
next post will be those who they
selected to become the original
Krakens.

Go M's  Go Kraken
