Mariners Take on the Yankees

The Seattle Mariners take on the Yankees.
It would be nice to have a big crowd at the
game that can keep the noisy Yankee fans
down.

The Yankees are 42-41.  They lost two out
of three over the weekend to the Mets talk
about being below their standards. If it
were not for a win on Sunday they would
have been swept. Are we feeling sorry for
them not at the least.  It would be good
to win two out of three though a sweep
would be even better. I wonder if the
Yankees feel they can come into Seattle
to sweep the Mariners. They need humble
pie and so do their fans.

The Mariners look like they will be without
Hector Santiago over his suspension for ten
days.  Major league baseball needs to do
something but since no other pitcher has
been caught with illegal substance the
job has been done. I guess we will see.

The Mariners have the second best record
in major league baseball in the last 20 games
at 14-6. It is too bad the best record is by
the Houston Astros.

Besides the Yankees the Mariners will see
the LA Angels before the all-star break.
After the break they will play the Angels
down in Anaheim. Besides a two-game
series at Colorado the Mariners play in
their division so be interesting to see how
they do the rest of July. How they do will
go a long way to see whether they are buyers
or sellers at the end of the month when the
trading deadline ends. According to Dipoto
they could be both. Go M's.
