Gonzaga Fails To Make History

Going into Monday night NCAA Tournament
Championship for Men's basketball the Gonzaga
Bulldogs were undefeated.

Unfortunately the Bulldogs were unable to
beat Baylor who had been number two
throughout the season rankings to the Zags!

The final score in the game was Baylor  86
Gonzaga 70. Had Gonzaga won the game
it would have been there first national
championship title ever and they would
have been the first team since Indiana went
undefeated back in the 1975-76 season.

It makes you think had they lost during
the regular season once they may have
won the championship. We will never
know for sure.

Monday night Baylor was the better team.
Whether that is true on the season or just
in this game we will never know that
answer either.

Though they lost the Zags had a great
season for sure and all of us in Washington
state should be proud of them.

Junior guard Jared Butler led Baylor in
scoring with 22 points. Gonzaga was led
by freshman guard Jalen Suggs also with
22 points.

Gonzaga had a higher shooting percentage
at 51 percent however Baylor took more
shots  making 30 shots compared to Gonzaga
25. A major difference to was Baylor made
ten three point shots to Gonzaga's five.
So basically the difference in the game.
Baylor made one more free throw then
Gonzaga so the difference in the score.

Again a great season. See how they do
next year. Don't be surprised if they
come back and play in next year's
championship title with a different
outcome. Go Zags!
