Wednesday was postponed just like
Monday's was. So another double
header in store. The first game will
start early our time so a morning
matinee.
Marco Gonzales will face Matt
Harvey of the Orioles in the first
game. This is the matchup scheduled
for Thursday. We hope the game will
be played. Only three Mariners have
ever faced Harvey so be interesting
to see how they do. Only JP Crawford
has had any success and he has faced
Harvey only three times.
Justin Dunn will start the second game
for the Mariners. We are hoping that
he will cut down on his walks. Dunn
can be a very good pitcher if he can
keep the walks down.
I know there are those who suggest
he goes to the bullpen. I think maybe
in the future but he will have to keep
the walks in check to have success in
relief.
In football news it looks like the
Seahawks are not going to be doing
voluntary workouts. Most of the NFL
teams don't want to do so because of
Covid. It is a tough situation for the
young players who could use the
reps. The older players are the ones
not wanting to do voluntary work
outs except virtually. I am not sure
how you do that and any way it is
voluntary.
The Washington Huskies and the
WSU Cougars are in the midst of
practice with spring football. The
battle at quarterback for the Huskies
while the Cougars likely will have
a new quarterback this coming
season as well.
