Mariners Lose Heart Breaker

The Seattle Mariners had a tough loss
Saturday night losing 1-0 to the Houston
Astros.

Chris Flexen gave up ten hits with the
one run going six innings. The bullpen
did a fine job to see if the offense could
get going not giving up one hit in three
innings.

The Mariners were only able to get four
hits of off Zach Greinke who went eight
innings.

JP Crawford had one of the four hits
extending his hitting streak to eight games.
His batting average now is at .275.
What problem he had at the beginning
of the season obviously has corrected.

The Mariners will see if they can win
Sunday's game to win the series. The
LA Dodgers will be in town on Monday
and Tuesday before the Mariners head
out on another road trip.

The Mariners are now 9-6 and tied with
the LA Angels with a record of 8-5.
The Oakland A's are 8-7 after getting
off to a terrible start. The A's could be
dangerous. Often they start winning
after slow starts. Right now I would
give them to be the favorite to win
the American League West.
