Mariners Win Final Game Against White Sox

The Seattle Mariners were behind 4-1
going into the bottom of the sixth
inning when they scored seven runs
to win 8-4. Though it was only win
against the Chicago White Sox in the
series it makes the season start 3-3.

The key to scoring seven runs Ty
France had a walk that took eleven
pitches. He kept on hitting balls foul.

Kyle Seager came up next with the
bases loaded hitting a double driving
in three runs.  Kyle had three hits on
the day. So he is out of his mini-slump
right now.

Taylor Trammell had his second hit
on the season driving in a run well
as scoring a run too.  He played in
center field once again. We should
see some of Braden Bishop in center
or left field.

Justin Dunn making his first start
had trouble getting the ball over the
plate as he did in spring training. He
ended up walking eight batters in
four and two-third innings. The walks
killed in the fifth inning especially
when the White Sox scored three runs.

Will Vest who came in for Dunn in the
fifth inning and pitched the sixth inning
as well recorded his first major league
win. Rafael Montero though he didn't
record the save finished off the 9th
striking out all three batters. He is
looking real good right now.

Evan White was hurt in the game while
going to first base trying to leg out a hit.
White will miss Thursday's game against
the Minnesota Twins in the series opener.
The Mariners and Twins have no game
on Friday resuming action on Saturday.
At that point should no whether White
will have to go on the injured list or not.

If White does go on the injured list
Donovan Walton will likely take his
spot being the only infielder on the
40-man roster and he is on the training
site. Wouldn't be surprised he is traveling
to Minnesota with the team in case he
does have to be activated on Saturday.

Right now Jose Marmolejos is the
primary first baseman though facing
a left handed pitcher the Mariners may
insert Ty France at first base.

The Minnesota Twins who the Mariners
face beginning on Thursday afternoon
lead the American League Central with
a 4-2 record all on the road. Thursday
is the Twins home opener.

The Mariners will be seeing a friendly
face in DH Nelson Cruz who has gotten
off on hot start. In the recent series
against the Detroit Tigers Cruz hit three
home runs. The amount he has on the
season so far. Also, he is hitting .471.
Though friendly we hope the Mariners
can cool Cruz down or at least not make
him a factor in the series.

Marco Gonzales will make his second
start on the season in Thursday's. We
hope for a better performance then his
in the season opener. Should expect
Yusei Kikuchi to start on Saturday
followed by Chris Flexen on Sunday.
Go M's.
