Another Shortstop Off

Wednesday evening news broke former Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts
signed 11 year $280 million
deal with the San Diego.

Say again more money than
the Mariners would be willing
to sign him. Bogaerts is 30
years old so I doubt he will
play until 41 years old.

Had the Mariners signed
Bogaerts he most likely
would have played the outfield
with an occasion at shortstop
along with second and third
base. Also, once in a while
at dh.

The thing is never know whether he will get hurt during
those 11 years. Of course, put
out an insurance policy.

The Mariners still can use an
outfielder so where will they
go? They still have Chris Flexen
and Marco Gonzales to trade
with adding some prospects
to. See what may happen
Thursday.
