Gonzaga beat the Washington
Huskies 77-60 Friday night in
Spokane.
It was the first time in three
years the two teams had met
because of covid-19.
The game as close early with
tough defense on both sides.
The Bulldogs pulled away in
the late first half leading by
ten and never looked back.
It was a good test for both
teams. The Huskies lack
a steady offense so Gonzaga
was able to go on a run.
Drew Timme who grew up
in Spokane had a great game
against their in state rival
leading the Bulldogs with
22 points. It was his defense
that was a big surprise. He
made some great moves early
on for Gonzaga to pull away.
The Seattle Seahawks are 3.5
favorites over Carolina Panthers
at home on Sunday.
Not a great indorsement since the
Panthers are having a horrible
season.
The Seahawks look like they will
be missing both Ken Walker III
and Dee Jay Dallas for the game.
It looks like Tony Jones Jr will start
the game at running back. Jones
has spent most of the season on
the practice squad after being picked
up early on in the season on waivers
from New Orleans.
Travis Homer is expected to return
so he and Jones will share the load
at running back. Depending on their
success or lack of we could see Geno
Smith throwing the ball a lot. We hope
that doesn't happen. We know Geno
can throw but we want to see a balance
attack at the same time. Go Hawks!
