this week or have to wait for the next
couple weeks.
Most likely the Mariners have been in
touch with other teams but may wait
until the holiday season is over.
As I have been giving their top prospects
the likelihood some one of those players
will exit with a trade or two.
Jerry Dipoto said that the Mariners need
right hitting bats with one being outfielder
and the other who can play both first and
third base. Give Ty France and Eugenio Suarez
a break once in a while. Can dh as well.
Now look at prospects 16 thru 18
#16 Ashton Izzi right handed pitcher drafted
in the fourth round in 2022.. He could move
up the list if the Mariners trade any pitchers
above him.He to could be involved in a trade
as an added piece to.
#17 Starlin Aguilar who Mariners signed
as international player in 2021. The first
of two third baseman back to back. In fact
they have three third baseman in the top
20. Most likely only one will stick if they
make the majors. Starlin is a left handed
hitter and batted .291 in 2022 in his first
year in USA at rookie ball in Arizona. He
hasn't shown any power yet so see if it
happens.
#18 the second third baseman Milkar Perez
is a switch hitter. Like Starlin he hasn't shown
power either. After a good start in 2021 Milkar
hit under .200 in 2022 at low level A I expect
the 21 to begin another season at Modesto
unless he shows a lot in training camp where
he could be at high level A Everett.
Next time look at prospects go for # 19 and 20
