Mariners Monday Any New Deal?

I would be surprised the Mariners make
a deal this week, however, could surprise
us.

I know a lot of fans think the Mariners are
cheap  for not signing any free agents. The
truth is  free agents are being signed for
long contracts. I  wouldn't  have signed
Correa for 13 years. Maybe 10 years at
the most. Let's  see  what  happens.

Today  going to look at Mariners  prospects
13, 14, and 15. There is a possibility  they
could trade one of these guys as well.  I
would certainly  throw in a prospect  between
21 and 30. Unless they are a pitcher these
prospects likely  won't  make it in the majors..

#13 Alberto Rodriguez  an outfielder who
bats and throws left handed. The Mariners
picked up Alberto  from Toronto in the trade
for TiJuan Walker in 2020. In 2022 Alberto
batted .261 at Everett with 10 home runs.
See if he moves up to double-A  Arkansas
in 2023. Alberto is  22 years old so  still has
some time to flourish.

#14 Bryan Woo right handed pitcher drafted
in the sixth round in 2021 out of Cal Poly. He
had Tommy John  surgery  but the Mariners
thought well of drafting him. He spent 2022
at Everett. Could see him move up to double-A
in 2023. The talent of pitching the Mariners
have we could see him traded as a prospect.
He pitched seven games at Everett with an
era of 4.78, however,  struck out 46 batters in
32 innings.  Though he was a starter we could
see him in the bullpen at some point. He started
last season in the lower minors so could begin
2023 at Everett  before moving up to Arkansas.

# 15 Perlander Berroa the Mariners  acquired
during the season in a minor league deal with
the San Francisco Giants.  He started  his time
at Everett  where he pitched well starting 13
games before being promoted  to  Arkansas.
Berroa could be a surprise pick up for the Mariners.
Most likely  since he is 22 years old begin 2023
in Arkansas. Mariners have moved starters to the
bullpen  and he can rush it up to 98 mph we could
see him in Seattle  sometime  in 2023.

We will look at prospects 16, 17, and 18 one of
the next times. Go M's.
