Seattle Mariners A Busy Time

Though the Mariners  didn’t  make
any trades or sign major league  free
agents they have been busy signing
several current players who qualified
for arbitration and new young international
players. They still have work to do on
both fronts.

Ty France,  Paul Sewald and Tom Murphy
we're signed avoiding arbitration. The
Mariners  still have a few more to sign
or go through arbitration.

The Mariners  signed seven international
players on Sunday with a few more to
come.  These are all 16 and 17 year olds
so be a few years before we see them.
One or two of them could be the next
Julio Rodriguez.  The top signing  is
Felnin Celesten a shortstop  from the
Dominican Republic. He was the number
two international prospect on the board.
Felnin is considered the top shortstop
internationally in a decade. We will keep
you up to date on him and the other players.
In the Mariners  next top 30 prospects Felnin
will be in the front of the prospect list. Go M's.
