their three game losing streak
beating the New York Jets
23-6.
The Seahawks end the season
next Sunday. They play the
LA Rams at home. The Seahawks will make playoffs
if they beat the Rams and
the Green Bay Packers are
beaten or tied by the Detroit
Lions.
The Seahawks won the game
by 17 points and the Jets
kicked two field goals in the
first half. The Seahawks scored
leading off the game with s
touchdown after running back
Ken Walker ran 60 yards on
the first play of the game.
In all Walker had 133 yards
rushing. So almost half the
yards on one play. The Jets
scoring six points was the
Seahawks playing good defense or Jets have an inept
offense. I would say the Jets
had an inept offense though
the Seahawks defense played
OK.
Geno Smith threw the ball 29
times a little under half the
time which is the kind of game
the Seahawks like to play.
Tyler Lockett did play in the
game though only had two
catches. Geno Smith threw
two touchdown passes both
to tight ends. Colby Parkinson
caught one and Tyler Mabry
in for injured Will Dissly now
out for the season caught
the other his first career TD.
Now we hang on to see whether the Seahawks make
the playoffs or not.
In basketball the Washington Huskies lost to the UCLA
Bruins Sunday afternoon
74-49. The Bruins had four
players scoring in double
figures. They had all but
ten of UCLA's points.
The Huskies had only one
player in double figures in
center Braxton Meah with
20 points. Mesh has done better than expected this year.
Keion Brooks Jr the Huskies
leading scorer had only six points on the night. A major
reason the Bruins won the
game by a large margin.
Brooks is a transfer the Huskies got from Kentucky.
Brooks is looking to go to
the NBA. Whether he does
after this season or play
another year we will have to
see. Other teams in Pac-12
will look to stop him every
game. Stopping Brooks will
make it hard for the Huskies
to win. The Huskies go
to Arizona this coming Thursday and Arizona State
next Sunday afternoon. The.
Huskies will need to find a
way to win at least one of those games or this won't be a kind
season for them.
