were named for the all-star game.
Randy Arozarena is the lone player
for the Mariners selected at this time.
Randy leads the Mariners with an
average of .283. After Saturday game
he and Cole Young are tied with 41
runs drive in. Young has a batting
average of .260. If the Mariners end
up adding another position player
to tge all-star team it would likely be
Young. Julio is on the concussion
injured list and likely wouldn't want
to play the all-star game again.
The Mariners have the 5th best pitching
era in the majors at 3.65. No starting
pitcher was named to the team as of yet.
The question though who would be the
best to pick. Logan Gilbert and George
Kirby have both pitched well. Bryan Woo
at home but not on the road.
For much of the first half was Emerson Hancock. Since coming off the injured list
no question Bryce Miller has been the
best pitcher and be the one picked
if doing so. Luis Castillo has been up
and down. Since the beginning of the
piggy back he has pitched well. If you
take the fans reaction Luis would be
the one sent to the bullpen or traded.
The trouble trading Luis is he has a
no trade clause so be would have to
have an ok to go and would that team
have something to give back to the
Mariners. Most fans to think that
Luis is the reason for the piggy back
and not to offend to be sent to the
bullpen. We will see what happens
especially after the all-star break.
This week the Mariners will be going
to Tampa Bay and Miami before the
break. Go M's.
