Mariners Lose Opener To Twins

Friday night was a game the Mariners could

have won but the last hit was by Julio Rodriguez.

Cal Raleigh hit a double in the first inning 

scoring two runs. Cole Young hit a homer 

in the second. Only one hit by Julio the 

rest of the way.  Jose Ferrer gave up

a home run in the 7th to the first batter

he faced and Bazardo did in the 8th.

Cal Raleigh and Weston Wilson each walked

in the 9th. With runners on 2nd and third 

with two outs the Mariners pinch hit  for

Victor Robles. He looked like he had no

business being out there and struck out

to end the game.

JP Crawford went on the injured list Friday

for ten days. It looks like Weston Wilson 

wiil be the third baseman for a few days

anyway.  Brendan Donovan is expected 

to be activated on Tuesday. His wife just

had a baby or he might have been activated 

today.

We hope the Mariners make at least one

trade before the deadline Monday afternoon.

I hope so since Friday was not a good game.
