JP Crawford Has Matured

JP Crawford has matured into a pretty good
shortstop especially on the defensive side of
the ball. It helps when you have a first baseman
who maybe already the best in the major leagues
as a rookie.

JP Crawford got off to a hot start at the plate
hitting .393 in July. He has tailed off a lot in
in August hitting .163.

Manager Scott Servais isn't worried at least
right now in Crawford's hitting though his
batting average is now at .222. Servais says
Crawford has still been hitting the ball hard
the fielders just catching the ball.

JP Crawford hit his first home run of the season
Tuesday night against the Padres in the second
inning with Dee Gordon on first.

Defensively Crawford has only three errors on
the season. Going into Tuesday's game he had
31 put outs with 74 assists I have to say he is
the player general manager Jerry Dipoto traded
for after the 2018 season. We look forward for
more out of Crawford as he continues to go on.
