A's on the road 10-2. The opening
game of the series Marco Gonzales
started. He was roughed up in the first
inning giving up two runs. He did fine
until the sixth inning when he had to
leave the game with the bases loaded.
The Mariners were leading 6-2. Matt
Brash came in to get the final two
outs without the A's scoring. The Mariners came back in the seventh
inning scoring two runs then followed
by two in the eighth.
Now to Eugenio Suarez, the third baseman had a big night. He had
two homers. The first in the fourth
with a runner on base to put them
up 3-2. The second happened in
the sixth with two runners on base
making it 6-2.
Suarez now leads the Mariners with
22 home runs. Certainly a good season
for the Mariners. Not only hit with
power his defense better than expected. Done an excellent job
taking Kyle Seagers spot. I am sure
the Mariners will make some kind
of move during the off season by
free agency or trade. I am sure Suarez
will be sticking around.
Luis Castillo will start Saturday late
afternoon as the game is on Fox. I
thought Castillo should have started
Friday's game with Thursday's day
off. We will have to see how the Mariners have the rotation setup for
next few times. The Mariners have
Monday off then play two against
the Nationals in Seattle. Castillo won't
start either game. The Mariners play
four at home against Cleveland so
Castillo could start on Thursday unless
give him another day off. They have another day off on the Monday after
that series in Detroit followed by Cleveland on the road. Castillo could
start in the opener against Tigers
followed by the last game in series
in Cleveland. See how that all works
out. Go.M's.
