bats going on Sunday once again.
They actually had 18 hits going with their 14 runs scored. Final 14-6 over the Cubs.
Though the weather was hot again in
Chicago so were the hits.
The Mariners scored every inning
except the third and the ninth.
The game started with Cal Raleigh
hitting his fourth of the series and
now 31 for the season. He had
another hit along with two walks
and scored three times. He has 66
rbis and hitting .276 which is his
career high.
Donovan Solano certainly likes
Wrigley Field having two home
runs on the day and driving in
five runs. Dominic Canzone had
two home runs as well. Miles
Mastrobuino had three hits as
well so the bottom of the order
did their job.
Logan Gilbert making his second
start since getting off the injuries
list went five innings once again.
The bullpen did another fine job
as well. Andre Munoz is finding
it hard to get in these days since
haven't had any close games and
being ahead.
Bryan Woo will start Monday against
the Minnesota Twins. Their pitchers
had trouble against Milwaukee over
the weekend giving up 35 runs.
We hope the Mariners continue what
they did in Chicago.
The Mariners are still second place
and four and a half behind the
Astros. The Astros face the Phillies
at home beginning on Tuesday.
Next weekend they play the Cubs
