team were beaten by the Michigan
Woverines Wednesday night 82-72.
Michigan is one of the top teams in
college basketball and had their first
loss of the season against Wisconsin
at home before going to Seattle so we
knew this would be a tough game to
win. It wasn't just the Woverines it was
the officials making it missing calls
on the floor.
The Huskies started their same lineup
as they did beating Ohio State however
they did have Desmond Claude and
Yesley Watts back though neither
had a big effect in scoring. Also forward
Jacob Ognacevic made his first appearance
of the season after sitting out with injury
up to this point. He scored 10 points in
16 minutes. We hope to see him make
more of a difference going forward.
Freshman guard JJ Mandaquit led the
Huskies coming off the bench with
15 points. Hannes Steinbach though
he got into some foul trouble had 11
points along with 14 rebounds.
The Huskies shot only 34 percent
from the field which didn't help.
The Huskies next game will be against
Michigan State at home on Saturday. It
will be another tough opponent however
we hope the Huskies can win. Go Dawgs!
