a rough season so far in men's basketball
however they were able to rival Oregon State
Beavers on Sunday.
Final Cougars 81 Beavers 67
The Cougars started off on a 9-0 start
the Beavers were a me to go on a run
close it to 14-12 however after that it
was all Cougars. The Cougars led at 14
at half time. Both schools scored the
same amount of points in the second
half but the Beavers never got closer.
The Cougars shot slightly better on
the field however they made the
same amount of 3s at 9. The difference
was the Cougars out rebounded the
Beavers and made more inside shots
to win.
Freshman Ace Glass led the Cougars
with 16 points. He shot 7 of 15 from
the field however only made one of .
seven of 3s. In all four of the five
Cougars scored in double figures.
The Cougars are now 3-1 in the West
Coast Conference but games won't get
easier. They take on St. Mary's next
Saturday who are 4-0 in the conference.
The following Thursday take on Gonzaga
in Spokane..
The Washington Huskies had to play
Indiana who is a good team. The
Huskies were able to make it a game
for a while. The Hoosiers end up
winning 90-80.
The Hoosiers won because they made
more 3s than the Huskies who didn't
shoot well..Hannes Steinbach led the
Huskies with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
His father is visiting Hannes from Germany.
He played basketball as well. The Huskies
had five players who scored double figures.
Not much support otherwise.
The Huskies play next at Purdue on
Wednesday. Go Dawgs!
